Archbishop of Westminter to Speak on 'Living the Virtues in a Time of austerity'

The head of the English Catholic Church, the Very Reverend Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, will deliver the 2010 Provost Derek Hole Annual Public Lecture at the University of Leicester on Thursday 28th October.

The Archbishop will speak on  ‘Living the virtues in a Time of Austerity’, reflecting on the circumstances which bring about the current reductions in public spending and on the challenges of life in our society in the coming months and years.

The lecture will explore some of the ethical foundations of the financial crisis and the questioning concerning values that it has raised.

This event is free and open to the public. Further details are available from Barbara O'Neill, 0116 252 5386.
