Volunteers needed for Vultures stunt
On Wednesday 24th at 8:30 am Jubilee Debt Campaign and ONE will be holding a bake sale. The bake sale will be in aid of the employees of Dechert LLP the firm that represented Vulture Funds against Liberia and The Congo. We figure they must be desperately poor if they need to take money from Vultures.
We'll also be highlighting the hypocrisy of Dechert presenting themselves as socially responsible while also representing vulture funds - eg. they have given legal help to Liberian refugees, and they're hosting a conference on Corporate Ethics. (All ideas for themed bakery items gratefully received - so far we've had Hypocrisy Buns and Millionaire Shortbread.)
