Compass Newsletter
Dear Compass supporter,
This week MPs have had their say on constitutional reform. Now it's our turn. Only if people from all walks of life come together to discuss and debate such changes will "constitutional reform" truly become "democratic renewal".
That's why today we're writing to call on you to cast your vote in POWER2010 - a grassroots campaign designed to redistribute power from Westminster into the hands of all of us. In the coming general election, they'll be asking all Parliamentary candidates to sign the POWER2010 pledge, a promise of renewal to which we'll hold them to account after they enter office.
The contents of that pledge are up to us. Click below to cast your vote:

Many of the reforms you can vote for in this poll are the same reforms Compass members prioritised in last year's How To Live In The 21st Century policy competition - including introducing a fully elected second chamber, a PR voting system and scrapping ID cards. There are 29 reforms in total that you can vote for - but you can only vote for each once. The five that receive the most votes will then form the backbone of a major nationwide campaign.
In forging a progressive consensus Compass has long worked to broaden discussion and engage others in the debate on how to build a more democratic, equal and sustainable future. Help us continue that work today by casting your vote alongside thousands of others:

Real power lies with the grassroots. Make sure you have your say and be represented.
Thank you
Gavin
P.S: Talking about the power of grassroots action, amazingly we've nearly hit £6000 in our New Year Appeal, if you haven't yet made a donation please do so now: http://action.compassonline.org.uk/newyearappeal
