Profile of a King: Advent Reflections on the Birth of Jesus 2009

Written by Andy Freeman and Published by the Evangelical Alliance

We spend so much time making judgments and placing people in boxes - family, background, money, influence or nationality. The word ‘profiling’ has become part of our language as we use human standards to assess people, inside and out. But the birth of Jesus breaks all these divides and instead speaks of welcome - to the poor, the outcast, the forgotten, the judged - even welcome to us. These daily devotionals will look at different aspects of Jesus’ birth and seek to challenge our stereotypes but also encourage us in our adoption as sons and daughters of Christ.
