Increase Welfare Benefits
Something to be hopeful about

Increase Welfare Benefits.

The current levels of Social Security Benefits are totally inadequate.

Jobseekers Allowance & Income Support are £60.50. Incapacity Benefit varies between £63.00 & £84.50. From these, claimants must feed, clothe & warm themselves. The Crisis loan line is virtually always engaged. The only loans available cost a minimum of 185%.

Those on benefit must resort to borrowing from family, friends & neighbours to tide themselves over. There has been no fundamental shift in welfare benefits since 1997. I have had to threaten the DWP with legal action to get the Benefits I receive.

Is anyone interested in joining me in challenging new labour on this matter?

The following Scripture has just come to my attention: He who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And he will repay him for his good deed. (Proverbs 19 v 17)
